Note to News Media The Mailers Council is a coalition of 40 corporations, nonprofit organizations and major mailing associations. Council members represent for-profit and nonprofit mailers that use the United States Postal Service to deliver correspondence, publications, parcels, greeting cards and payments. Collectively the Council accounts for as much as 70 percent of the nation's mail volume. Executive Director Bob McLean has more than 15 years experience in the postal community: five years as the Mailers Council’s executive director, eight years as legislative counsel for the National Association of Postal Supervisors, and more than two years with the United States Postal Service’s government relations department. ###
